Richard Keith Quintero

Richard was born in Panama City, Panama. He lived his formative years in Columbia South Carolina and Atlanta Georgia. He earned a degree at Georgia State University in Photography, and was an Award Winning Photographer. Richard was included in Rolling Stone Magazines “25 Under 25” series: A photo essay on difference makers under twenty five photographed by photographers, under that age.

After school Richard became interested in filmmaking. He shot his first Feature “Point and Shoot”. “Point & Shoot” circulated in the festival circuit and became the catalyst for his move to Los Angeles. He produced and directed a short film “Exhibit A”, where he joined forces with Craig Robert Young for the first time. Richard and Craig then produced “Wannabe”, Richard’s second feature. “Wannabe” won several awards in festivals and eventually drew the attention of the TV world. “Wannabe” was bought by “Warner Brothers”, where it was developed under the show runner Marta Kauffman.

After ”Wannabe”, Richard’s next venture were Pilots for “Andy and Chaz”, “Assistants”, and the “Cleaners” series. “Cleaners” was chosen to be a part of the Dances With Films” Festival. These were developed into pilot ideas and pitched in cooperation with Producer Tony Jonas. His most recent project is “Wannabe: All Washed Up, a follow up to “Wannabe”. ”Wannabe: All Washed up was Selected by the “LA Comedy Film Festival”, “South Texas International Film Festival”, and the “First Glance Film Festival” and won the “Best Director” category. It is currently being turned into a pilot.

Richard is also an accomplished working professional cinematographer and editor. His clients include: Variety, Nat Geo, IGN, ET, Audi, Fox, Clevver, Machinima, Smosh, Smosh Games, The Shade Room, Young Hollywood, and many More. He also has a YouTube blog called Major Movie Madness which has an avid audience.
